A fine, mint condition ARVN Airborne beret with retrofitted bullion patch. It retains its bright red colour and is unworn with no signs of wear.
Three-panel construction. The wool shell has no mothing and maintains a vibrant red colour. It displays a typical foil size label under a plastic sheet. The plastic sheet has some small cracks as seen. The crown is lined with a black silk fabric and a green heavy-gauge cotton cloth lines the circumference. The sweatband is made from a black vinyl leatherette which houses the uncut silk drawstring, exiting the rear.
The bullion patch is original, but it was added to the beret at a later time.
