60s Vintage Canadian Army 64 Pattern Rucksack

Genuine Canadian Army issue

This pack system drew significant influence from the US Vietnam War era Lightweight Rucksack. Some defining features of this Canadian counterpart are its heavier weight, waterproof treated cotton fabric, use of heavy-duty plastic buckles, and Commonwealth-style fasteners on the pockets. It features a map pocket under the main flap closure and a toggle secure drawstring closure underneath. It used the same frame as the US LW rucksack, but can also be worn without one.

Includes all straps shown which can be used to fix the pack to a frame if you can source one.

In overall excellent condition with a couple of well-made repairs. The shoulder straps are a little sticky, but may be cleaned if you plan to wear this. A great, collectable, solid, ready-go pack, ideal for hiking, backpacking, and camping.
